About Us
The Lakeway Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization, which was formed to bring together the graduates of the Lakeway Citizen Police Academy to enhance the relations between the community and the Lakeway Police force. This organization and its members strive to be available to and provide support for the Lakeway Police Department and to enhance communication between the community and the police.
The mission of the Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association is to support law enforcement in Lakeway, Texas through education, information, networking, community service and volunteerism.
​EDUCATION
To assist in promoting a high quality citizen academy in Lakeway; to stimulate education in the practices and procedures of the Lakeway Police Department; to foster interaction with other community support/enforcement agencies.
INFORMATION
To increase public awareness and police/community rapport.
NETWORKING
To develop closer contact among citizen academy graduates.
COMMUNITY SERVICE/VOLUNTEERISM
To support the volunteer and community service efforts of Citizen Academy Alumni members.
